SASMIRA Laboratories is one of India’s leading textile testing facilities, with over 75 years of excellence in testing and technical services. Established in 1950, SASMIRA combines advanced testing infrastructure with experienced professionals to deliver reliable and globally accepted testing solutions.
The laboratory is accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and is authorised to conduct Proficiency Testing in chemical, mechanical, and biological parameters in accordance with ISO/IEC 17043:2023. SASMIRA also serves international clients through certification from the International Antimicrobial Council (IAC) and is empanelled with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) under its LIMS platform for testing of technical textile products, including those covered under Quality Control Orders (QCOs).
SASMIRA offers comprehensive testing services for man-made textiles, synthetic textiles, and allied products, catering to manufacturers, exporters, traders, government agencies, and research institutions. The laboratory’s scope extends to toys, hazardous chemicals, cosmetics, disinfectants, hygiene products, and allied materials, with test reports widely recognised both nationally and internationally.
Testing is carried out as per leading national and international standards such as IS, ISO, ASTM, DIN, BS EN, JIS, AATCC, etc. The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation including HPLC, HPTLC, GC-MS, DSC, TGA, CHNS analysers, and UV–VIS spectrophotometers for the evaluation of hazardous and restricted substances. A dedicated microbiology laboratory supports testing of textiles, cosmetics, plastics, disinfectants, hygiene products, etc.
In addition to testing, SASMIRA provides expert technical services such as fabric defect analysis, fabric structure and design evaluation, computer-aided textile design support, and problem-solving for manufacturing and finishing processes to enhance quality and productivity.
