About the Journal
Man-Made Textiles in India (MMTI) is an international scientific journal dedicated to publishing innovative research on textile management and technological developments across the textile value chain. Formerly titled Silk and Rayon Industries of India, the journal was first published in 1958 and is the flagship publication of The Synthetic & Art Silk Mills’ Research Association (SASMIRA), Mumbai, India established in 1950.
MMTI is a reputed journal that publishes original scientific research addressing both theoretical and applied aspects of textiles and allied disciplines that introduces new concepts, advanced technologies, and enhanced understanding of materials, processes, management practices, design, and retailing related to fibres, yarns, fabrics, dyeing and finishing, and apparel for diverse applications. As textiles evolve from traditional apparel to high-tech applications, thus MMTI covers a vast spectrum of textile sectors which covers novel, traditional, and non-traditional areas spanning science, technology, engineering, design, and aesthetics. MMTI encourages submissions that demonstrate originality, interdisciplinarity, and significant contribution to knowledge, including authoritative critical reviews
